Maluda was born in Goa, in 1934. In 1948 she moved to Mozambique, where she started to paint. Even though she tried several genres, including portrayal, silk-screen, tapestry, posters, mural painting, illustration and stamps, the main core of Maluda’s painting is deeply focused on the synthesis of urban landscape, catalogued as Impressionism. She died in 1999.
